COLLEGE RULES
The academic session of the College extends from 1st June to 31st May and is divided into two terms. 1. June to December 2. January to May. Admission: Students seeking admission to the college should send their applications in the prescribed from available in the College Office before the last date along with the other documents required. Applications which are incomplete or are receive after the last date may not be considered. Selected candidates will be informed and admission will ordinarily start during the reopening week and will continue till the last date or till the seats are filled up whichever; is earlier. Admission in to the college starts after the publication of the Board/Council Examination results and continues till the last day prescribed for such admission. Ordinarily admission is allowed on the ground of merit and good conduct. It cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Handicapped, applicants having NCC certificates, Scouts, Ex-Servicemen, girls and SC/ST are to get due weightage in accordance with the provision granted by the Government. Selection of Honours subjects are to be done by the respective Heads of department mainly on the basis of merit. Readmission: Each students shall have to get himself/herself readmitted at the beginning of each academic session in due time. Address: Each student must register in the college Office his permanent and local address. Any subsequent change of the address must be immediately; intimated to the college office. Identity Cards: Students are advised to keep their identity cards always with them which will entitle them to all privileges of College students. The identity card has to be produced on demand. More over it must be renewed every year. Bicycle: Bicycles must be kept in the bicycle stand should be locked up with chains for safely. They should never keep on the corridors, nor the side of the college grades and road. Discipline: Students should take their seats before the lecturers enter the class rooms and should not ordinarily leave their seats during the lecture. Late-comers may not be allowed to enter the class room but they cannot claim their attendance even if they are allowed. Students should not loiter on the corridors or on the verandahs. When they have no classes to attend they may remain either in the vacant room or in their respective common Rooms. Students must not spit on the walls, floors, doors of the college or use of college drains for purpose of meeting calls of nature. They should not stand in groups near the college gates or near any passage or on the narrow verandahs obstructing the free movements of others. In not case should they loiter on the enclosed verandah in front of the Principal's office. Students must not temper with the light and far switches or mishandle bicycles or other articles which do not belong to them. Admission of a student can be cancelled at any time compulsory college leaving certificate to be issued to a student if it is found at any time that his conduct is unsatisfactory and his behavior is not in the best interest of the college. A student who absents himself from the Annual/Test Examination without obtaining permission from the principal will be fined Rs.10/- for each paper in which he is absent or is liable to have his promotion withheld. Continue absence from a class without permission is a serious breach of college discipline. Attendance : Under the regulation a student in order to be eligible for being sent up for the Council/University Examination is under obligation to attend in each subject a minimum of 75% of lectures, tutorials, Practicals etc. calculated separately. The syndicate may however, condone the deficiency of attendance of a student to the extent of 15% only under exceptional circumstances. The syndicate may also grant condonation to a further extent of 5% in case of those who are deputed by the state or the University for any purpose. The students should bear in mind that there is no law to help him in case his percentage of attendance falls short of the required minimum as started above.
