COLLEGE EXAMINATION
CLASS EXAMINATIONS : 1. The students of +2 1st year classes have to appear two examinations i.e. The First Terminal Examination and the Annual Examination. The First Terminal Examination will be held in December-January and he Annual Examination will be held in April-May. Besides these there shall be written exercises in fifty percent of the tutorial/practical classes. 2. There shall be a pre-test examination for +2 2nd year, +3 1st year, +3 2nd year and +3 3rdyear classes before or after puja vacation and a Test Examination before the filling of application form for C.H.S.E. or University Examination. There shall also be periodical written exercises in tutorial classes. 3. Since all these examinations are compulsory, students are required to appear in order to be eligible for promotion to the next higher class or to appear C.H.S.E./University examination. 4. Students failing to appear in any sitting of the said examinations shall have to pay a fine to be decided by the staff council. 5. A student found in possession of incriminating material or copying or using any other unfair means in the college Examinations in order to gain any improper advantage will be expelled from the examination hall or will be refused promotion or will be penalized in any other form which is deemed proper. 6. Misconduct in the examination hall will be seriously viewed and he/she will be penalized as per the decision of the college authority. UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION : 1. There shall be three examinations such as (i) First University Examination, (ii) Second University Examination, (iii) Final University Examination for Bachelor's degree during three academic sessions, one in each session for the students admitted in +3 degree course. A candidate shall be eligible to appear the second and Final University Examination only if he/she has registered for the first and second University Examination respectively. 2. A candidate failing to secure a minimum of 30% in pass subject and/or a minimum of 40% in each practical paper/45% in theory/practical in Honours subjects either in the First, Second or Final examination of the University may be allowed to appear in those subjects in not more than two chances (Examinations) immediately following that examination for which he/she was first registered to clear back paper(s) on payment of prescribed fees. In order to be promoted to the next higher class of the tree year degree course, a candidate must appear at the end of that year in the University examination in all the papers provided that a candidate should not be debarred from being promoted to the next higher class on the ground of his/her not obtaining a pass mark in all or any of the papers and provided further that appearance at the end of each academic year in the University Examination in all the papers is a precondition for being promoted to the next higher class. Degree shall be awarded at the end of Final University Examination on the basis of combined results of the 1st, 2nd and Final Examination taken together.
